Housing Options and Homelessness Advice

With social housing (renting from a housing association) you tend to have more security, providers often offer long term assured tenancies, and guarantees of service such as repairs.  Rents are generally lower than if you rent privately, but this gap is narrowing.  Demand for social housing can be high, and you may experience a long wait for a move.  

For some people social housing is not a realistic option however, there are a number of other housing options available which we have listed below.  To find out more information about each of the housing options click on each one.

Supported Housing and Move-on

There is a range of supported housing options available across the area.  Supported housing offers vulnerable people an opportunity to learn independent living skills in a safe environment.  The NHA Options partnership supports move-on into independent living, please talk to one of our advisors for more information.
